What "dual stimulation" actually means
A rabbit vibrator pairs an insertable shaft with a smaller external arm — the "ears" — positioned to contact the clitoris during penetration. The two parts are usually independently controlled, meaning shaft vibration and external stimulation run on separate motors with separate intensity settings, though budget models sometimes link them to a single control. Beyond that base concept, current models add a wide range of extra mechanisms: thrusting shafts (as in the DJ Sona Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator), rotating heads (the Georgia 360° Rotation Licking Rabbit Vibrator), or a licking motion on the external arm instead of plain vibration (the Condice Clit Licking & Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator, which combines several of these at once).
More mechanisms generally means more moving parts and more potential failure points, not automatically a better toy — a well-made two-motor rabbit with simple, independent controls often outperforms a five-function version with mediocre execution of each individual feature.
What to check before buying
- Arm flexibility and adjustability. Bodies vary enough that a rigid external arm at a fixed angle won't align for everyone — look for a flexible or bendable arm rather than a fixed-position one.
- Independent controls, confirmed. As with tongue vibrators, check that shaft and external stimulation are described as separately adjustable, not bundled into one "mode" dial.
- Shaft girth and insertable length. Listed dimensions vary widely across this category — check both figures against what's comfortable, not just the headline length number.
- Material and seams. Medical-grade silicone with minimal seams where the two parts meet is easier to clean and less prone to bacterial buildup than a jointed hard-plastic design.
How it compares to other categories
