Married vs. unmarried
Source: Tina Fetner's Sex in Canada survey (2,303 Canadian adults ages 18–90, quota-matched to Canada by age, gender, region, language, and visible-minority status; surveyed 2018). Married Canadians reported having sex more often than unmarried Canadians — and reported orgasming slightly more often too, so the extra frequency didn't come at the expense of the sex itself, at least by this measure.

Committed relationships, fresh 2025 numbers
Source: Leger's January 2025 Canadian Sex Life Survey. A different, more recent survey than the Fetner data above — Leger's "committed relationship" includes married people plus other committed couples, so this isn't a married-couples stat specifically.

For comparison, singles in the same survey reported far less frequent sex: 15% weekly or more, and 36% no sexual activity at all.
Parents have more sex than you'd think
Source: Fetner, Sex in Canada. It cuts against the usual assumption: parents with a child under 18 at home reported more sex than non-parents, not less.
